NotOK Fest is a new horror film festival built by people who'd rather be in the back row than on a panel. One screen, dusk to dawn: a run of independent features and a block of shorts that are strange, mean, funny, or genuinely upsetting — ideally several at once.
Year one is one room, dusk to dawn: filmmakers in attendance, drinks between films, and a screen that doesn't go dark until the sun does. Make it to the final credits and you've survived something. If it works, year two gets bigger. If it doesn't, at least we watched a lot of films in the dark with strangers.
